Creating a Space That Grows With Your Children!
Babies change everything—especially your space!
Recently, we found ourselves stepping into a brand new season again. Our baby is growing up so quickly, beginning to explore the world around him with curious eyes and very soon his little hands. This means it’s time for a reset.
It’s easy to forget, amidst the daily rhythm of life, that our environments deeply shape how our children feel, play, and learn. And as mamas raising kids across different ages and stages, those needs are constantly evolving.
Tip #1: Keep shelves low, uncluttered, and visually open. Rotate materials weekly to spark curiosity without overwhelm.
Shifting With the Season
In a heartbeat, I moved our Montessori-inspired shelves back out, which are low and accessible for tiny hands, yet still an open invitation for my older kids to explore and engage. Babies are naturally curious, and a thoughtfully prepared space like this fosters both independence and wonder.
And our postpartum rolling cart? It’s now back in action as our homeschool cart again—stocked with art supplies, schoolwork, and books, ready to roll wherever learning takes us!
Tip #2: Use a mobile cart to store everyday homeschool essentials. It’s flexible, space-saving, and allows you to bring learning into any room.
This simple shift reminded me: Our homes should grow with our children—just like our homeschool rhythms.
A Blend of What Works
Our space (and our learning) does not follow just one philosophy but draws inspiration from many roots:
Montessori for independence
Charlotte Mason for gentle rhythm and beauty
Waldorf for seasonal connection
And real life—because learning doesn't just happen at a desk!
Tip #3: Let your space reflect your family values. It doesn’t have to be Instagrammable — just intentional.
And that’s the heart behind Honeybees & Wildflowers — the curriculum I’ve been quietly creating behind the scenes for mamas like me. Something for mamas like me who want intentional learning and to savor the magic of childhood! Mamas who are navigating life with multiple little ones and want learning to feel natural, connected, and doable.
It’s not about perfection or expensive material. It’s about creating a rhythm that works for your family — whatever season of life you may be in. I want to create a beautiful and magical beginning for even the littlest learners!
Tip #4: Set up a small "invitation to play and learn" each week—a seasonal nature tray, a themed book basket, or a simple activity on a low table.
Pause + Reflect
Ask Yourself:
➝ Does your space support curiosity & creativity?
➝ Does your daily rhythm work for this season of life?
➝ Are fostering meaningful connections?
➝ Does your learning spark wonder and discovery?

Infusing magic into your days, something that sparkles in the sun.
